War Without Wounds?
If UK's Ministry of Defence (MoD) is correct, the outcome of tomorrow's wars will increasingly be determined by machines, not men. On the MoD's wish list: a fleet of unmanned drones capable of reaching targets 1,000 km inside enemy air space. Also under review: a remote-controlled, camera-toting robot that can be carried in a backpack and can travel at a speed of 40 mph when deployed for reconnaissance.
